Jennifer Lee Figueroa

Hola mi nombre es Jennifer Lee Figueroa, nací el 21 de Julio del 1993 en Newark, Delaware.

Soy de origen Puertorriqueño. Mis padres son Abner y Dialis Esther Figueroa. También tengo un hermano mayor, se llama Abiel Figueroa. Mi familia me da soporte en todo lo que yo decido hacer. Como estudiante en William Penn tomo todas las clases de honores y ubicación avanzadas.  Participo en: field hockey, banda de marcha, Jazz Band, Coro de jazz, Drumline interiores (baile flamenco y  toco platos de juego en solitario), natación, banda de All State, Dramas Musicales y teatros de All State.  Además, soy una receptora de la prestigiosa 2008 Presidente del Programa de Premios en Educación Excepcional Rendimiento Académico, y me han aceptado en el 2009 TOB All Star Band. Soy uno de los líderes de jóvenes en mi iglesia, PDH Ministries, enseño a los niños, toco trompeta y canto en el grupo de alabanza y adoración.  También dedico mi tiempo tocando  la  trompeta funciones sociales, como “TAPS” en honor a los soldados caídos en el Servicio Conmemorativo de los Veteranos en Delaware City.

Aspiro graduarme de la escuela secundaria y Universidad de West Chester con honores tomando la carrera de música. También quiero estudiar Teología, profundizando mi entendimiento para poder predicar la palabra de Dios. Me encanta tratar cosas nuevas y tomar cada oportunidad que se presente, lo cual me trae a este concurso. Durante mi vida espero poder expresar mis ideas y entretener, y si Dios puede tocar tan sólo a una persona a través de mi, entonces mi propósito en esta vida estaría cumplido. Le doy gracias a Dios mi creador, la iglesia que me edifica, mis amigos y familia que siempre están disponibles para mí.

Jennifer Lee Figueroa

Hello my name is Jennifer Lee Figueroa, born on July 21, 1993 in Newark, Delaware and am of puertorican descent.

My parents are Dialis Esther and Abner Figueroa.  I also have an older brother, Abiel Figueroa. My family strongly supports me in everything I do. As a student at William Penn I take all honors and advanced placement classes.  I participate in: field hockey, marching band, Jazz Band, Chorale jazz singing group, indoor drumline (Flamenco dance solo and cymbal playing), swimming, All State band, Musicals, and All State theatre.  Furthermore, I am a recipient of the prestigious 2008 President's Education Awards Program in Outstanding Academic Achievement, and have been accepted into the 2009 TOB All Star Band. I am an active youth leader at PDH Ministries, teaching children, playing trumpet and singing in our praise and worship team. I also volunteer playing trumpet at social functions, such as "TAPS" honoring our fallen soldiers at the Veteran's  Memorial Day Service in Delaware City.

I aspire to graduate high school and West Chester University with honors as a Music Major / Music Therapist. I will also study theology, in order to more effectively preach the word of God. I love trying new things and taking every opportunity that presents itself, which brings me to this pageant. In my lifetime I hope to express my ideals and entertain, and if God is able to touch just one person through me, then my purpose will be fulfilled. I thank the God that created me, the church that edifies me and my friends and family who are always there for me.
