Parece mentira, pero es cierto: hemos llegado a la mayoría de edad. Con esta edición iniciamos la celebración de nuestro 18 aniversario como medio de comunicación en Delaware, y este hito nos da la madurez para ver en retrospectiva esta trayectoria y sentir una satisfacción que no imaginábamos cuando dimos nuestros primeros y tímidos pasos.
Por supuesto, nos hemos tenido que adaptar a los cambios y circunstancias desafortunadas que nos ha tocado enfrentar, pero seguimos adelante. Todo ello nos ha alimentado y enriquecido.
Viendo las incontables imágenes de personas y eventos que han sido reseñados en nuestras páginas, hemos llegado a sentirnos hasta abrumados y desconcertados de ver que todo eso que hemos hecho y con todos aquellos que hemos interactuado a través de estos años. Ya algunos no están entre nosotros.
Los que eran unos ansiosos jóvenes buscando abrirse caminos, son ahora padres de familia y, con suerte, profesionales exitosos. Más de uno nos sonríe desde esas páginas del pasado con una cierta complicidad de saber que algún día estarán de nuevo contando su historia contemporánea o sus éxitos compartidos.
Estas páginas esperan con ansias por ellos.
Gran satisfacción sentimos de haber mantenido nuestra línea editorial enfocada en el lado positivo de nuestra comunidad no haciendo uso nunca de recursos retorcidos para reclamar la atención de los lectores, ni sexo ni violencia han sido protagonistas de esta historia, más bien oportunidades y optimismo del futuro que se nos hace tan necesario.
Sentimos un gusto especial al compartir buenas nuevas y en abrir oportunidades en la medida de lo posible. Seguimos pensando que la educación es la clave, no puedo resistirme a repetirlo una vez más hasta el cansancio.
Nunca imaginamos que podríamos llegar tan lejos y permitirnos seguir contando con el apoyo de ustedes para seguir adelante con alegría.
Para celebrarlo, hemos decidido hacer un cambio completo en nuestra presentación, dándole un toque más moderno que incluye también nuestra presencia en la red. A partir de este ejemplar nuestras páginas serán en colores y con un nuevo diseño que esperamos sea del gusto de nuestros lectores y anunciantes.
El futuro nos espera y esta vez con todos los colores del arcoíris, para que irradiemos alegría y fantasía hasta el final. Sigamos adelante unos cuantos años más, y que nos dé Dios la salud y energía para continuar nuestra labor.

It seems incredible, but it is true: we have come of age. This edition celebrates our 18th anniversary as a communication medium in Delaware. This milestone gives us the maturity to look back on this trajectory and feel a satisfaction that we did not imagine when we took our first timid steps.
Of course, we have had to adapt to the changes and unfortunate circumstances we have had to face, but we keep going. All this has fed and enriched us.
Seeing the countless images of people and events reviewed on our pages, we have come to feel overwhelmed and bewildered to see all we have done and with all those with whom we have interacted through these years. But unfortunately, some are no longer with us.
Those who once were eager youths looking to make their way are now parents and, hopefully, successful professionals. More than one smiles at us from those pages of the past with a certain complicity in knowing that one day they will be telling their contemporary story or their shared successes again.
These pages look forward to them.
We feel great satisfaction for having kept our editorial line focused on the positive side of our community, never making use of twisted resources to claim the attention of readers, neither sex nor violence have been the protagonists of this story; rather, opportunities and optimism for the future, which is so necessary to us.
We take pleasure in sharing good news and opening up opportunities where possible. Furthermore, we still think education is the key, and I can’t resist repeating it until exhaustion.
We never imagined that we could go this far and allow ourselves to continue counting on your support to move forward with joy.
To celebrate, we have decided to make a complete change in our presentation, giving it a more modern touch that includes our presence on the web. From this issue forward, our pages will be in color with a new design we hope our readers and advertisers will like.
The future awaits us, and this time with all the colors of the rainbow, so we radiate joy and fantasy until the end. So let us continue for a few more years, and may God give us the health and energy to continue our work. Thank you all!
