Gran Baile LACC 2023
Después de una pausa de tres años, el Centro Comunitario Latinoamericano (LACC por sus siglas en inglés) organizó con orgullo su 51º Gran Baile Anual.
Este evento es la recaudación de fondos más grande del LACC para la programación infantil y juvenil de la agencia. Esta gala sirvió como plataforma para reflexionar y reconocer el impactante trabajo realizado por la agencia dentro de la comunidad latina.
El evento destacó los hitos importantes que hemos logrado juntos, incluida la apertura de nuestro nuevo Centro para bebés y niños pequeños, y la expansión y adaptación de nuestros programas para atender mejor las necesidades de nuestra comunidad. Además, el evento reconoció a personas que han dejado una huella significativa en la comunidad a través de su trabajo.
Los homenajeados fueron:
• Premio al Hispano Distinguido de Delaware: Jefe Wilfredo Campos del Departamento de Policía de Wilmington
• Premio al Logro Profesional: José Matthews
• Premio al Voluntario del Año: Jeannine Scope
• Socio Corporativo del Año: Comcast
• Premio Campeón de la Comunidad Hispana: Hermano Chris Posch (póstumamente)
LACC Grand Ball 2023
After a three-year hiatus, the Latin American Community Center proudly hosted its 51st Annual Grand Ball.
This event is the LACC’s largest fundraiser for the agency’s children and youth programming. This gala served as a platform to reflect upon and acknowledge the impactful work carried out by the agency within the Latino community.
The event highlighted the significant milestones we have achieved together, including the opening of our new Infant and Toddler Center, and the expansion and adaptation of our programs to better serve the needs of our community. In addition, the event recognized individuals who have left a significant mark on the community through their work.
The honorees were:
- Distinguished Hispanic Delawarean Award: Chief Wilfredo Campos of the Wilmington Police Department
- Professional Achievement Award: José Matthews
- Volunteer of the Year Award: Jeannine Scope
- Corporate Partner of the Year: Comcast
- Hispanic Community Champion Award: Brother Chris Posch (posthumously)
