Revisando, con cierta curiosidad, la similitud entre los hechos históricos de inicios del siglo veinte y los del siglo veintiuno, no puede no dejar de sentir que la historia es cíclica, se repite.
La revolución rusa que tanto impacto tuvo sobre el mundo entero, en nuestros tiempos vemos como se quiere revivir el orgullo imperial demostrado en la invasión de Crimea primero y desde hace tres años de la estratégica Ucrania.
Un fenómeno interesante es que hace 100 años, en 1925, Benito Mussolini se declara dictador de Italia y diez años más tarde invade Abisinia, mientras que Adolfo Hitler escribe “Mein Kampf” el libro que inspiro la limpieza racial que llevó holocausto que hizo desaparecer a millones de seres humanos de todos los credos y razas pero que no cuadraban con el perfil de raza superior que pretendieron imponer.
Es cierto, lo dijimos antes, que el actual gobernante ha llegado al poder con un apoyo pocas veces visto, si es que alguna vez un presidente tuvo la capacidad nuclear junto a la fuerza política de un congreso a su completa disposición. De allí que tome, sin dudarlo, decisiones controversiales tales como liberar a todos los delincuentes, que en su nombre atacaron el congreso el 6 de enero de 2021 o firmar una orden ejecutiva para revocar el derecho a la nacionalidad a los nacidos en estas tierras.
Dando un giro inusitado a la posición de los Estados Unidos con respecto a Rusia y el conflicto con Ucrania, hoy nos hemos desayunado con la noticia de que juzga al presidente Ucrania de dictador y de ser el culpable de provocar una guerra que no podría ganar y que ha costado hasta ahora billones de dólares e incontables vidas humanas.
Algo que no deja de llamar la atención es que nuevamente esté, no digamos gobernando, sino ordenando desde su lugar de recreo y hogar en Mar a Lago, No ha pasado un mes y ya está jugando el golf de lo más tranquilo, mientras sus secuaces intentan desarmar el gobierno federal y miles de personas empiezan a sufrir de una sensación de temor permanente, sólo por el hecho de no corresponder al patrón que, al parecer, es el único digno a seguir.
En estas circunstancias estamos cumpliendo años, ya que en febrero de 2006 vio la luz el primer ejemplar de este proyecto editorial. Hemos llegado a la mayoría de edad, y resulta interesante que bajo la nueva luz que ilumina nuestros días, pareciera que estamos contra corriente, pregonando diversidad y bilingüismo, y eso, en verdad, nos da una nueva fortaleza de seguir adelante con aquello que durante la guerra mundial se llamó “La Resistencia”.
Una visión autoritaria del poder sin supervisión, tal como se evidencia de las ordenes ejecutivas que buscan darle al presiente mayor control sobre los organizamos regulatorias del gobierno incluyendo a la agencia central de información en la que también han querido hacer una tabla rasa, así como en los diferentes empleos federales que la nueva norma será la lealtad con el nuevo proyecto de gobierno.
No ha cambiado nuestra posición de comunicar oportunidades de educación que faciliten la integración el progreso de la comunidad hispana en Delaware. A todos los que no han apoyado durante estos años: muchas, muchas gracias.

Looking back, with some curiosity, at the similarity between the historical events of the beginning of the twentieth century and those of the twenty-first century, one cannot help but feel that history is cyclical; it repeats itself.
The Russian Revolution had such an impact on the entire world, but in our times, we see how they want to revive the imperial pride demonstrated in the invasion of Crimea first and, three years ago, in strategic Ukraine.
An interesting phenomenon is that 100 years ago, in 1925, Benito Mussolini declared himself dictator of Italy and ten years later invaded Abyssinia, while Adolf Hitler wrote “Mein Kampf,” the book that inspired the racial cleansing that led to the Holocaust that made millions of human beings of all creeds and races disappear but who did not fit the profile of a superior race that they tried to impose.
As we said before, it is true that the current ruler has come to power with support rarely seen, if ever a president had the nuclear capacity together with the political force of a congress at his complete disposal. Hence, without hesitation, he makes controversial decisions such as releasing all the criminals who attacked Congress in his name on January 6, 2021, or signing an executive order to revoke the right to nationality for those born in these lands.
Giving an unusual turn to the position of the United States regarding Russia and the conflict with Ukraine, today we have had breakfast with the news that he judges the president of Ukraine to be a dictator and to be guilty of provoking a war that he could not win, and that has cost so far billions of dollars and countless human lives.
Something that does not cease to attract attention is that he is, again, not to say governing, but rather ordering from his place of recreation and home in Mar a Lago. Not a month has passed, and he is already playing golf most peacefully while his henchmen try to dismantle the federal government, and thousands of people begin to suffer from a feeling of permanent fear just for the fact of not corresponding to the pattern that, apparently, is the only worthy one to follow.
In these circumstances, we are celebrating our birthday since the first copy of this editorial project was published in February 2006. We have come of age, and it is interesting that under the new light that illuminates our days, we are going against the current, proclaiming diversity and bilingualism. That, in truth, gives us a new strength to continue forward with what during the world war was called “The Resistance.”
An authoritarian vision of power without supervision, as evidenced by the executive orders that seek to give the president greater control over the regulatory organizations of the government, including the central information agency, in which they have also wanted to make a clean slate, as well as in the different federal jobs, where the new norm will be loyalty to the latest government project.
Our position of communicating educational opportunities that facilitate the integration and progress of the Hispanic community in Delaware has not changed. To all those who have not supported us during these years: many, many thanks.
