El evento que une, empodera y transforma
En un país donde muchas veces el trabajo silencioso de la mujer latina pasa desapercibido, Ámate Mujer nació con una sola intención: darles el lugar que merecen.
Este 28 de marzo de 2025, La Escondida en Wilmington, Delaware, se llenó de emociones, luces, alfombra roja, música, reconocimientos, historias conmovedoras… y, sobre todo, de unidad.
Más de 400 personas asistieron a esta tercera edición del evento, que ya se ha consolidado como único en su tipo en todo el estado de Delaware.
Creado y producido por Laura Leos, empresaria, influencer y activista comunitaria reconocida por The News Journal como “La Oprah de Delaware”, Ámate Mujer es el reflejo de años de trabajo, entrega y compromiso con la comunidad latina. Este evento ha abierto puertas a nuevas iniciativas en el estado, como la celebración del Día de la Independencia de México, y ha inspirado a muchas otras personas a crear espacios de visibilidad, reconocimiento y empoderamiento.
Un reconocimiento a las mujeres que sostienen el mundo en silencio
Este año fueron homenajeadas ocho mujeres, seleccionadas por la comunidad a través de nominaciones abiertas en redes sociales, por su impacto positivo, sus historias de vida y su compromiso con los demás. Ellas fueron:

– Patricia Espinosa
– Estefanía Cuellar
– Laura Díaz
– Karen Locke
– Inés Cano
– Adriana Sánchez
– Kary León
Además, se otorgaron tres reconocimientos especiales a mujeres cuya entrega y servicio las ha convertido en pilares comunitarios:
– Adriana Viveros Sosa – Pilar de la Comunidad
– Yaqueline Gómez Lastra – Luz de Sonrisas
– Margarita Rojas – Alas de Servicio
También estuvieron presentes las embajadoras de años anteriores, quienes regresaron al escenario como símbolo del legado y la continuidad de este movimiento de amor y reconocimiento.
Un evento que es de todos
Lo que hace a Ámate Mujer realmente especial es que es un evento gratuito, abierto al público, pensado para que todas las mujeres se sientan especiales. Desde el recibimiento con alfombra roja, hasta la cena gratuita, los sorteos, la música y los reconocimientos… cada detalle fue posible gracias a la unión de más de 55 patrocinadores, entre negocios locales, líderes comunitarios y colaboradores voluntarios que pusieron su granito de arena.
Muchas personas trabajaron sin cobrar o cobrando solo una fracción de lo que realmente valen sus servicios. Desde las decoradoras, pasando por la producción audiovisual, hasta el salón de eventos, todos apostaron por algo más grande: hacer sentir a cada mujer que es vista, amada y celebrada.
Además, participaron organizaciones sin fines de lucro como TeenSHARP, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Abriendo Puertas (Violencia Doméstica) y el stand sobre adicciones a redes sociales y videojuegos, demostrando que el empoderamiento también va de la mano con el acceso a recursos, educación y salud.
Una plataforma para emprendedoras y nuevos talentos
Como parte del evento, se organizó un mini mercado de mujeres emprendedoras, que pudieron exhibir y vender sus productos. También se abrió el escenario a nuevos talentos, brindándoles visibilidad en un espacio lleno de cariño y apoyo.
Este evento demuestra que cuando una comunidad se une, no hay límites. Negocios, organizaciones, familias, emprendedoras, artistas, líderes comunitarios y voluntarios, todos con un mismo propósito: celebrar a la mujer latina y seguir construyendo comunidad.
Latinas Maravilla: la evolución de un sueño
Este 2025 también marcó el lanzamiento oficial de Latinas Maravilla, una red creada por Laura Leos para continuar el trabajo de empoderamiento femenino durante todo el año. Esta iniciativa busca conectar a mujeres emprendedoras con herramientas, visibilidad, capacitaciones, descuentos, promoción en medios, y encuentros mensuales que fortalezcan su desarrollo profesional y emocional.
Latinas Maravilla será también una revista, un directorio, un espacio de apoyo, y un movimiento que dice: no estás sola.
Un movimiento que llegó para quedarse
Ámate Mujer no es un evento más. Es una revolución suave, hecha con flores, con abrazos, con historias, con mujeres valientes y con la colaboración de toda una comunidad que entiende que el amor propio no es egoísmo, es la raíz del cambio social.
Desde Delaware – y con el corazón de su gente – este movimiento sigue creciendo. Porque cuando una mujer se ama, se ilumina ella… y todo lo que la rodea.

In a country where the silent work of Latin women often goes unnoticed, Ámate Mujer was born with a single intention: to give them the place they deserve.
On March 28, 2025, La Escondida in Wilmington, Delaware, was filled with emotions, lights, red carpet, music, recognition, moving stories… and, above all, of unity.
More than 400 people attended this third edition of the event, which has already established itself as the only one of its kind in the entire state of Delaware.
Created and produced by Laura Leos, entrepreneur, influencer and community activist recognized by The News Journal as “The Oprah of Delaware,” Ámate Mujer is the reflection of years of work, dedication and commitment to the Latino community. This event has opened doors to new initiatives in the state, such as the celebration of Mexican Independence Day, and has inspired many other people to create spaces of visibility, recognition, and empowerment.
A recognition of the women who hold the world in silence
This year, eight women were honored, selected by the community through open nominations on social networks, for their positive impact, their life stories and their commitment to others. They were:

In addition, three special recognitions were given to women whose dedication and service have made them community pillars:

An event that belongs to everyone
What makes Ámate Mujer really special is that it is a free event, open to the public, designed to make all women feel special. From the red carpet reception, to the free dinner, the raffles, the music and the recognitions… Every detail was possible thanks to the union of more than 55 sponsors, including local businesses, community leaders and volunteer collaborators who did their bit.
Many people worked without being paid or charging only a fraction of what their services are actually worth. From the decorators, to the audiovisual production, to the event room, everyone bet on something bigger: to make each woman feel that she is seen, loved and celebrated.
In addition, non-profit organizations such as TeenSHARP, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Abriendo Puertas (Domestic Violence) and the booth on addictions to social networks and video games participated, demonstrating that empowerment also goes hand in hand with access to resources, education and health.
A platform for entrepreneurs and new talents
As part of the event, a mini market of women entrepreneurs was organized, who were able to exhibit and sell their products. The stage was also opened to new talents, giving them visibility in a space full of love and support.
This event proves that when a community comes together, there are no limits. Businesses, organizations, families, entrepreneurs, artists, community leaders and volunteers, all with the same purpose: to celebrate Latina women and continue building community.
Latinas Maravilla: The Evolution of a Dream
This 2025 also marked the official launch of Latinas Maravilla, a network created by Laura Leos to continue the work of female empowerment throughout the year. This initiative seeks to connect women entrepreneurs with tools, visibility, training, discounts, promotion in the media, and monthly meetings that strengthen their professional and emotional development.
Latinas Maravilla will also be a magazine, a directory, a support space, and a movement that says: you are not alone.
A movement that is here to stay
Ámate Mujer is not just another event. It is a gentle revolution, made with flowers, with hugs, with stories, with brave women and with the collaboration of an entire community that understands that self-love is not selfishness, it is the root of social change.
From Delaware – and with the hearts of its people – this movement continues to grow. Because when a woman loves herself, she is enlightened… and everything that surrounds it.
